Garage Floor Coating FAQs

Straight answers about epoxy, polyaspartic, pricing, and the process from 25 years on the job.

How long does the floor take to dry?

Most floors are fully cured within 24-48 hours. Foot traffic is typically allowed after 12-24 hours, and vehicle traffic after 24-48 hours. Polyaspartic coatings cure in as little as 8 hours.

How much does a garage floor coating cost?

We price by the job, not by the square foot. This means fair pricing for showers, patios, and small garages. Text or call for a free, no-obligation estimate.

Do you offer a warranty on garage floor coatings?

Yes. Every job comes with a 3-year labor warranty. If the coating peels, lifts, or fails because of how it was installed, Tonny comes back and makes it right. When Tonny supplies the materials through his preferred suppliers like Sherwin-Williams, those products also carry their own manufacturer's warranty, so you're covered on both ends. If you choose to supply your own materials, the 3-year warranty applies to labor only, since Tonny can't stand behind a product he didn't source.

Can you do patios and showers?

Yes, we coat patios, lanais, showers, bathrooms, and restrooms. These spaces need waterproof, slip-resistant, and easy-to-clean surfaces.

What colors are available?

Over 140 color options with decorative flakes. You can choose full coverage or light flake, and we can custom blend colors to match your home.

How long does installation take?

Most garages take 1 day. Larger projects or those requiring extensive concrete repair may take 2-3 days. We'll give you a timeline during the consultation.

Do you work on commercial properties?

Yes, we handle warehouses, factories, manufacturing facilities, and other industrial spaces. We use heavy-duty materials designed for high traffic.

What's the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic floor coating?

Both are premium garage floor coating systems, but they work differently. Epoxy floor coating bonds deeply to concrete and is extremely durable and cost-effective -- it's the most popular choice for residential garage floors in the Hardeeville, Bluffton, and Savannah area. Polyaspartic coating is UV-stable so it won't yellow in sunlight, cures in as little as 8 hours, and handles temperature swings better than standard epoxy. It's a great fit for outdoor patios, commercial spaces, and customers who need the garage back fast. Tonny installs both systems and will recommend the right one for your concrete, your climate, and your budget.

Do I need to empty my garage?

Yes, the garage needs to be cleared before installation. We'll help you coordinate the timing and provide tips to make the process easy.

How do I choose a color for my garage floor?

Tonny brings a physical sample board to your consultation so you can see exactly how the flake colors look on a real floor, not just on a screen. He can work with any color in the Sherwin-Williams decorative flake system, which gives you a wide range of options from neutral grays and tans to bold blends. If you have a specific look in mind, just describe it and Tonny will match you to the closest option before any work begins.
